I did a combo trip with Conner and my Dad yesterday, we fished for some Bass at Trout Lake in the morning, then hit the Klamath River in the after noon for some Steely/Trout. The bass bite was not hot but we did land a couple of real nice ones on white grubs. The Bass look to be in pre-spawn mode right now, we didnt see any Bass in shallow water on their beds yet. We would have done better with some with some white spinnerbaits in deeper water. The Klamath is still kicking out some nice Steely/Trout as the Salmonflies continue to hatch. The bite continues to be sub-surface working the hotshot worm combo in faster water was the ticket to getting some nice fish. My dad had the hot stick as he stuck two Steely/Trout in the 3 to 4 pound class and a couple of half pounders just to mix things up. The fish are hanging in faster more oxygenated water right now as the river starts to warm up for the summer. The weather has been great so far. Nightly rain showers and clouds have kept the summer temps down in the low 70's great fishing weather.
