On Wednesday, I took my friend Jim and his family friends to McCloud Reservoir to catch Trout. We hooked up on 25 Trout landing 12 of them. For most of Jim's friends and their kids it was the first time they had ever been fishing. Needless to say we had a lot of fun trying to get the Trout in the boat. We caught a few fish up the river arm, but we had better success out near the Dam. Huckleberry Creek is dumping a lot of brown water into the McCloud River, just below Hearst Castle, but the lake looks good out near the Dam. We trolled a Sep's dodger and worm most of the time, but we did catch a few Trout on the hotshot worm combo, when we were up in the river. The lake is very full and there is a lot of floating debree, so boaters beware, there are many floating prop killers out there. To my buddy Jim who will be getting married on Saturday Congrats!!!!!!
