Mother Nature has been working overtime in Siskiyou County. All the lakes and rivers are brimming full. We have been seeing one-storm front after another moving through the area (rain, snow and wind). It has been raining off and on today. All this water has been too much for the ground to handle, as we had a near repeat of the 1997 flood, this past New Years. The Klamath River reached 13,000cfs and as of today it is still flowing at 8,900cfs. It may be a month before it is fishable. Lake Siskiyou and McCloud Reservoir are about the only two place to fish right now. As long as it is not snowing too much or the wind is blowing to hard. Guy and I fished Lake Siskiyou last Monday and got three bites in couple hours. The rain, snow and wind forced us off the water. It started to snow hard in Mt Shasta and we just got out before it really got messy. Over on the coast the Smith River should be producing Steelhead as it has come down from well over 20 feet and is currently flowing at 12 feet around Jed Smith Park. Steelhead in the 10 to 17 pound range are being landed. Call if you'd like to book a trip on the Smith.

Check out all the pictures they speak for themselves as to what has been going on around the area.
