Steelhead fishing on the upper Klamath River near the Irongate Hatchery is starting. Yesterday, I fished clients and we landed (released them all) 4 adult Steelhead over 20-inches and numerous smaller fish. Most of the Steelhead and Trout we landed were caught while side drifting a small glowbug but we did land a few using a hotshot and worm combo. The Steelhead are holding behind the Salmon reds right now feeding on loose eggs. We saw only two other boats on our drift from the Hatchery to the Klamathon Bridge. It was pretty nice to have the whole river to ourselves. We are seeing some weather fronts moving thru our area right now and the wind has been picking up in the afternoon, Winter is on its’ way.

Available days October 30-31, November 2, 6-10, 13-31, December 1-31
