We made it to September and the cooler nights that normally grace us this time of the year.  Shasta surface temps have dropped into the mid 70's now so we're seeing some fish up near the surface again and still some down deep.  Most of my fishing has been done in the 80' foot depths the past week but I have also started running some side planers into the mix as well.  The bite up top isn't great but we are getting some rainbows up high early in the morning.  Trolling spoons or spoon flasher/dodger combos has been best and we're seeing limits of trout using this gear daily.  The great fishing should hold up well into the month before things start to change as October arrives.  Stay tuned here for more reports as we close out September which ends our summer season.  Fall fishing is right around the corner though and we should have a great fall trout season on Shasta as soon as we edge into the October/November timeframe.  Thank you!
