Fishing over the past 10 days has been pretty darn good. The weather has been great for the most part, with exception of the wind at times.

Yesterday at Lake Siskiyou despite the windy conditions was fantastic. This was Hos an John first time fishing Lake Siskiyou and they were spoiled with a 25 fish day, and to top it off Hos landed a 27 inch beast.

Trolling the top 25 feet at speeds between 2 and 4 mph with Optimizers, Bayratlures, and Trinidad tackle dodgers with popped eye spoon trailers were the hot baits. The scent of choice was Pro-Cure bloody garlic Tuna and garlic plus.

The Klamath river also continues to fish well,  with steady action while back trolling maglips or bait. Fish in the 18 to 24 class have been the norm.

As we head into spring and summer your northern California fishing options really begin to open up. I will be fishing the Klamath, Lake Siskyou, McCloud Reservoir, Shasta Lake and few others for Bass, Crappie, Kokanee, Steelhead and Trout.
