The Klamath river went up and down then up again with in a 6 day period. Obviously, those of you who fish rivers understand it is difficult to fish a rising river. This is what can during the Winter and Spring months.

Last Sunday and then again yesterday the Klamath was raised to nearly double it's normal flow of 950 cfs. My clients were able to fish but Monday was really tough due to water going up but Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday the river fish ok. The bite was clearly off of what it had been but we did have some action and caught and released some nice Steely/Trout dispute the water issues.

The flow on the Klamath will be down to normal by mid week and as long as we don't have any unexpected releases, the fishing should pic up. Opportunities for Steely/Trout between 20 and 30 inches will continue for next few Months.

Starting in March I am taking bookings for Shasta Lake, Lake Siskiyou, McClould reservoir, and Whiskeytown. We will be targeting Brookies Browns Kokanee and Rainbows at these Lakes. I also have Bass and Crappie trips available in the coming months. All these fish are great eating if you so or you can releases them for another day.
