Its been a crazy year on Shasta Lake to say the least, but all in all its consistently produced some really nice fish this summer season.  I'm fishing my last week on Shasta this week, but I do have some great guides taking trips for me while I switch over to river salmon on Monday.  Shasta Lake should fish really well through September, but gets tough in October when the lake starts to cool off. By mid November if I'm not fishing late fall King salmon trips due to high water, we'll be chasing browns and rainbows up the McCloud arm of Shasta Lake.  With the right conditions, winter fishing on Shasta Lake can be great!  Look for more weekly reports on Shasta during river King salmon season as I'll still have guides on the water putting clients on some excellent trout trips!  Thank you all for another great spring/summer season on Shasta Lake!
