Youth Turkey Hunting Clinics
There are two Youth Turkey Hunting clinics coming up Saturday, March 31 in Tygh Valley and Central Point. Kids will learn basic hunting, scouting and calling skills just in time for the 2018 Spring Youth Turkey Hunt on April 7 and 8.

Take a hunter education class or field day
Get a jump on the upcoming hunting season and take your hunter education course now. There are several ways to take a class, all require a field day for hunters under 18. Register for classes and field days online. Hunter education is required for all Oregon hunters 18 and under, and is required for adult hunters in many popular, nearby states.

Volunteer work party at Jewell Meadows
There will be a volunteer work party this Saturday, March 10 to help create a better space for our elk this spring. After all the winter rain, wind, snow, sleet & ice, the wildlife area needs some sprucing up. Volunteers will help wildlife area staff transfer woody debris from the fields to forested areas and use hand tools for brush removal. Must be able to walk along field edges and be mobile over uneven terrain. Children welcome with adult supervision.
