McCloud Reservoir aka the Trout factory was literally smoking hot yesterday. My clients and I arrived at McCloud early Saturday morning and found the weather conditions to be less than ideal. Unfortunately, the fires in the area have created a lot smoke and it was sitting like fog on the water, but it was nice and cool (40 degrees at 6am), making the smoke a little more easy to deal with. Despite the smoke, Team Ferguson hammered the Trout until we got off the water around 2 in the afternoon. Bob, Chris, Holly, and Kevin easily caught their limits and were excited to have 20 nice Trout for the smoker (HAHA no pun). Trolling Sep's dodgers with worm trailers, oiled up with ProCure's krill/shrimp produced steady Trout action; the team went maybe 10 minutes at the most between bites or hooking up. We ended the trip with 1 nice 2 pound Brown Trout (landed by Holly and taking big Trout title for the day) and 42 Rainbow Trout total. Not a bad day at all!!

***I have some open days before I start fishing the upper Klamath for Salmon and Steelhead, so check my Calendar page to see what is available.***
