Currently it is snowing heavily in and around Siskiyou County. Montague and Yreka have been pounded by storm after storm. 2008 has been all about the snow and cold weather, rather than the fishing. Hopefully, the weather will stabilize soon and we can get in some fishing....

The past week of salmon fishing on the Klamath river has been fair. We have been landing 2 to 4 Salmon a day while bouncing roe. The mouth of the river has had trouble staying open, not letting fresh ocean salmon up the river. They are stacked up waiting to get in so it could bust loose anytime. Stay tuned!!!...

Spring seems to have begun in Siskiyou County.  We are starting to see our annual 50 degree temperature changes (Mornings and evenings in the 30 to 40 degree range with mid-day highs of 60 to 80 degrees).
