Slowly but surely the Salmon are starting to arrive. I landed a nice 16 pound hen yesterday while bouncing roe. I saw more Salmon jumping on my short afternoon run (12 to 3) than a couple of day ago so it wont be long before we see a lot more. I hit the river for a few hours in the afternoon yesterday and landed two nice Wild Steelhead (you can only keep hatchery steelhead). The Salmon are starting to show up at the Irongate hatchery. My friend Guy and I fished the upper Klamath River from the Hatchery to the Fishhook on Saturday and we saw a few Salmon but were unable to get any biters.
