Klamath River - Upper - CA

I picked up my boat from Willie Drift boats yesterday and she looks great. After 9 years of service she got a well-deserved facelift. I had the inside, outside and trailer completely redone.  The inside now has new diamond plate flat floors and removable leaning braces for fly-fishing. The entire boat and trailer has been powder coated (silver ghost) and looks...

Fishing for adult Steelhead on the upper Klamath River is getting better by the day. On Monday, my clients Paris and his grandson Wesley landed 30 Steely Trout with a few adults mixed in. The biggest fish was caught while backtrolling a crawdad plug. Bouncing a small piece of night crawler on the bottom caught most...

The day did not look promising as we dropped the boat into McCloud Reservoir. As soon as we rolled into the launching area and began prepping the boat to drop it into the water, Mother Nature let loose, so for the first few hours, we trolled for brown trout in a steady rain. We went 1 for 3 on the browns...

It felt like winter was around the corner today. When we launched the Jetboat at 930 this morning, the weather did not look like it was going to get any better, and by 3pm it hadn't. My Dad, good friend Guy, and I fished in a steady rain all morning and into the afternoon, but we found a good bite...
