Wall Canyon Reservoir

Angling at Wall Canyon Reservoir has been reported to be excellent this fall with good numbers of bowcutt trout, rainbow trout, brown trout, and smallmouth bass caught.  Some smallmouth bass have been reported in the 14-16 inch range and angling with small crankbaits seems to be the most productive.  Anglers trolling rapalas or casting from the dam are reporting success...

No new updates. No Lahontan cutthroat have been reported or seen at Walker Lakes since 2009. Launching is not possible right now
Urban Ponds Report

Many of the areas urban ponds freeze over during the coldest months, please stay off the ice.  The Sparks Marina is currently accessible and is fishing fair. Fishing with powerbait or salmon eggs has been best during the warmest part of the day.

The Truckee is recovering nicely after the drought. Trophy class rainbow and brown trout have been reported throughout the Nevada portion of the river. Summer surveys have shown that trout populations are stronger from downtown Reno upstream, but plenty of great fish have been caught out east. Rye Patch Reservoir

Ice has taken over good portions of the shoreline. Fishing overall has been slow.  March should bring fair Walleye fishing near the dam and below in the river. After suffering from drought, Rye Patch fishing should continue to improve over the next season.
