Pacific herring finally made their way into Crescent City Harbor in large numbers today (Wednesday). Some anglers, like this fishermen, were taking home herring by the bucketful.

The Chetco's finally side-drifting! Darrell Wells was side-drifting and bobber-dogging the Chetco River with his son, guide Randy Wells on Thursday when they caught and released several wild steelhead, donated one wild fish to the broodstock program and took home this dandy hatchery steelhead.

Donna Emfinger from Grants Pass, Oregon decided to fish the Chetco last week and caught this nice hatchery winter steelhead while plunking a pearl pink Spin-N-Glo with white wings at Social Security Bar.

On Thursday, John Weber and Damien Hawley-Jones from ODFW removed one of many angler-caught steelhead from their holding pen on the Chetco River in preparation for taking the fish up to Elk River Hatchery where it will be held for spawning.
