Captain Justin Thompson checked in over the weekend and reports great rainbow trout fishing on the Sacramento River in Redding.  Flows are up to 6,500 cfs and that has these wild resident rainbow trout on the bite.  Captain Justin had the same group the past two days this weekend and they landed over 30 nice rainbows each day making for...

Today marks the second week of some great days of fishing for Striped bass on the Sacramento River near Colusa, Ca.  My guide team's season will be relatively short this year due to low water conditions after this years continued drought.  Theres plenty of water to fish, but its not the typical high turbid flows the Stripers favor to spawn in....

We have run several trips on the Sacramento River for Striped bass the past week or so and the fishing has been pretty darn good.  We're scoring limits most days, but we've fallen short a few days when the Striped bass were on the move.  Its early in the season so we should see more improvements this week into next....
