by Jeff Goodwin, JANUARY 21, 2022
Shasta Lake

Shasta Lake continues to rise slightly through our current dry spell at a rate of about 1/2' foot a day.  Debris is a problem in the upper arms, but water conditions are good.  The river water coming into the lake is around 45-46 degrees and we're not seeing much in the way of trout populations up there.  The middle lake and...

Great weather ahead on Shasta Lake!
by Jeff Goodwin, JANUARY 9, 2022
Shasta Lake

Shasta Lake has been fishing very well even though we're seeing a steady rise so far this winter.  We've seen a lot of rainfall but not too much which has made for what I consider to be perfect conditions.  48-50 degree water can be found in most areas of the lake right now, water clarity conditions are 2' or better...
