Fishing at McCloud Reservoir the past week has been as hot as the weather.
Catching limits of tasty brown and rainbow trout doesn’t get much easier. Trolling the surface down to 45 feet with dodgers and wedding ring spinners or hootchie skirt spinners tipped with shrimp/krill oil night crawlers is the hot set up. Small spoons and plugs have also been effective.
