The Big Trout are still on the bite here at Collins Lake. Eric Phillips from Grass Valley came back after catching a big trout the week before and he outdid his personal best by topping his stringer of three trout with a huge 5 pounder! Eric fished both times by the dam using orange PowerBait.

Our lake has risen over 20 ft. as of 12/20, a great ending to 2014, and
an even better beginning of 2015! Although the water is muddy by the
bridge where the main runoff is, down by the dam the visibility looks
amazing. Even during the recent storms which brought more than 10 inches
of rain, people are actually catching fish!
