Our Whales have been showing up in full force for the last couple of days putting on quite a show.  Our trips have been seeing at least a half dozen up to 10 whales in an hour!  It truly doesn't get much better!

We're very fortunate in Depoe Bay to have our Kelp which sustain our Resident Grey Whales.  From May to October we get to see them on pretty much every trip we do.  It is a real treat to see so many like we have recently so its time to come and see them in all their glory!  The real bonus also is seeing our magnificent coast line as we get to live in one of the most beautiful places on Earth!

Speaking of Kelp, we are proud members and sponsors of the Oregon Kelp Alliance which helps to sustain our beautiful Kelp Forests.  Kelp is critical for all species in our oceans as it supports tons and tons of wildlife including Mysid Shrimp which our Whales consume a ton a day! 

We find it quite humurous that some websites and folks think the best time to come see whales is during migration which is winter time.  While that is pretty good the best is definitely May through October while our Resident Whales are always here.
