The 2023 Sacramento River Striped bass season is already under way but the bulk of the Stripers will be showing up in early April.  We found a few on a scouting trip this past week which is a promising sign for another great season this spring.  River conditions are favorable for Striper fishing now but the bite will improve when the water warms up a bit when the cool winter air temps transition into warmer days in the next month or two.  More rain is welcomed but too much can blow out the river at times which can present some challenges which include difficult fishing conditions.  Its still very early for Striper fishing reports but we'll have more of them for you before the season is in full swing.  The majority of our guided fishing trips for Striped bass in the Colusa area will be from early April to mid march, or maybe later.  Please check back each week to get the latest updates for the upcoming Sacramento River Spring Striper season.  Thank you!
