2 more trips today at Stampede. Great morning bite till around 8 and hit a wall at 24 kokanee. Moved to where I would normally start for my late morning trip and quickly limited the boat. Paulina Peak Tackle crack spinners in watermelon, pink n purple, and orange. Short leaders at 8-10”. Depth was 40’-60’ otw. Speed at 1.1-1.3
If you were the boat that was behind me and quickly shot in front of me and got pissed when we continued to catch fish behind you, other than getting angry and frustrated, come ask what we’re doing different. Lol
Second trip started at 10am. Very slow fishing with only 3 the first hour. Then started marking a few as the wind picked up. I was prepared and made sure to save some battery for the wind. Using both the bow mount and kicker with TR1 autopilot in the rear, we ain’t afraid of no wind. Bite really took off when the waves started crashing over the side.
Depth 55’-70’ otw. Same speed, colors, and presentation as the early morning trip.
Taking a day off tomorrow to recuperate and let my fingers heal as I took a hook under the fingernail today. Lol. That made it fun cleaning fish.
