We've hit our transition time from Corning to the Anderson/Red Bluff area of the Sacramento River.  From now to December 31st, we'll be fishing these areas exclusively for salmon and steelhead.  The salmon are still trying the patience of the guides and anglers alike, but overall the salmon fishing is pretty darn good.  Any of the tougher bite days we see won't be for a lack of fish, especially in the Barge Hole near Anderson.  Every hole on the river above Red Bluff is holding lots of King salmon.  If you haven't booked a Sacramento River salmon fishing trip for this season, I suggest that you do.  If you've never battled a big King salmon, this is the year to give it a shot.  We have some open dates due to cancellations so give Jaynie a call at (530) 510-2925 for more information about availability and this years salmon season in general.

Jeff Goodwin is a full time Northern California fishing guide.  He guides year round for salmon, trout, steelhead, Kokanee, and bass on Northern California rivers and lakes. He fishes many bodies of water in the Redding area, but also guides the Sacramento River and Feather River during certain times of the year. Jeff can also be found on the California coast chasing ocean fresh King salmon and steelhead each year.
