The past two days were spent fishing Lake Siskiyou and McCloud Reservoir.

Lake Siskiyou fishing requires more patience and working the water from the surface down to 80 feet. Bring plenty of gear and different colors. One moment they may be bite a blue an silver Optimizer Jr spoon at 72 feet the next they might bite a fly dragging the surface at 2mph. The rewards for the effort are what make it all worth wild when start the day with feisty 21 inch Brown trout then you finish the day with a chunky 25 inch drag ripping Rainbow.

McCloud Reservoir is easy as long as you bring gold or silver or 50/50 dodgers with chartreuse hoochie or wedding ring spinners tipped with Pro-Cure shrimp/krill oil night crawlers.

Fishing the surface down to 60 feet should produce a lot of action on feisty little Brown an Rainbow trout. If you go out out this weekend watch for floating debris and other boaters there will be a lot newbies out often not paying attention.
