Being my last day of Kokanee season for me, I bet these kids a Tight Lines hat they didn’t have the guts to hold a kokanee in their teeth. Well I lost the bet but got a great picture as a result. Ended up having a spectacular day at Boca. While yesterday’s bite was a bit slow, today totally kicked butt!!! Same speed, same Lures, same area as I’ve fished the past few weeks.
I would like to extend a special thank you to my sponsors that made this season one to remember. 2020 has been rough but high Sierra kokanee was a highlight. provides me with the most productive kokanee tackle on earth!! Whenever I’m running low on a color, Richie gets his crew to stop what they are doing and tie me up what I need. Lamiglas provides me with the best American made Kokanee Kid Rods with ultra light action to provide a fun and reliable rod to get the fish in the boat. FINS fishing 40G braided line is the lifeline to my successful season. Unbeatable sensitivity allowing me to see when I have a bite with the smallest of Kokanee. Caught a 3” kokanee this season and the rod tip was dancing!!! A big thank you to Scotty Fishing Products. You’re downriggers on my boat are in need of a serious servicing, but they held up to everyday use catching 60-70 fish a day. Put in some hard work and could not imagine what my arm would feel like if I had to manually crank em up every time. Rogue Jet Boatworks provides me with a speedy stable platform and is the backbone of my business. No rockin and rollin in my boat!! And most importantly, my wife for allowing me to be gone most of the summer and putting up with me when I was able to come home for a day and do nothing but sleep.
