December has proven to be an awesome month for fish and fun at Collins Lake!

Sheldon & Ian caught some gorgeous trout in a cove on the east side of our lake using homemade Rapala type lures.  

Tom Navone & Aaron Miller used Rapalas and together hooked 5 beauties.

Ray & Margaret Johnson hook a limit of bass in their secret spot!!

Jerry Delos Reyes from Sac. limits out on trout on green PowerBait off the shore by the dam.
Johnny & Barbara Grizzle from Manteca had two days of camping and fishing with three of their trout over two pounds!!  They fished by their campsite with rainbow PowerBait.
10 trout on the stringer for Ricardo Jr. from Carmichael & little Ricardo the III ends their fantastic trip to Collins Lake, they used PowerBait. Rider Chastain & Madilynn Kincade each caught a trout of PowerBait by the beach.

Katy & Jack Sannar & Justin caught several limits of trout over a three day period, mostly on PowerEggs by the dam.
The trout we planted needed a while to acclimate to their new environment, but now they are definitely awake and feeding because most of our anglers are now starting to limit out on trout. The lake is muddy at the bridge but not bad down by the dam or the beach area.  We are expecting another warm rain Wed. & Thurs. so the visibility could change by next weekend.  As of today, our lake is only 17' down, a lot different from last year at this time!!
