What should you do for your Dad on his 65th birthday? Perhaps take him fishing on Shasta Lake?  Well, that is exactly what Andrew and Mike did for their Dad Bob with a little help from me haha.

Shasta lake did not disappoint on Monday for team Christensen, after a bit of windy start, the bite was steady for remainder of the day. We found consistent action on Sep's (UV silver/pink tire trak and gold/silver) 2/0 and 3/0 Dodgers with Berkley gulp minnow imitation trailers (dipped in Pro-Cure Carpspit affectionately coined Ass juice by Team Christensen) at depths between 80 and 115 feet deep. We varied our direction (constant S turns) and speed (between 1 and 2.5 mph) which helped keep the Trout on the bite.

The weather turned out to be extremely comfortable after the morning wind. The fish size has been averaging 3 to 4 pound per fish with some fish pushing 9 pounds and others in the 1 to 2 pound class. Monday was no exception our biggest fish neared 6 pounds and smallest in the 2 pound class.
