Today we fished keswick below Shasta Dam for big trout.  Started fishing in pretty heavy flows, but managed to get a savage takedown just minutes after dropping lines in.  It didnt take long before our next takedown, but unfortunately we were already 0-2 in the first hour.  Not long after losing our second big rainbow, Shasta Dam shut flows down to practically nothing.  That always requries a change in tactics and sometimes locations.  After a lull in the action we hit four fish within 10 minutes which included a multi pound rainbow and brown.  We had to troll for most of the day with no moving water, but we caught and lost several more fish before calling it a day.  Keswick guided fishing trips are a lot of fun and we always find some nice fish one way or another.  If this sounds like a fishing trip that interests you, now is the time to get your day locked down before my lake and reservoir trips  start to fill up.  Oh, we have a permit for Lewiston Lake this year as well so we'll be offering trips there as well!  Its going to continue to be a great 2018 season and will just get better as summer approaches.  Lets go fishing!  Thank you!  (707) 616-1905...
