The reports feel like they may be redudnant, so I'll just say Shasta Lake is still producing trout.  The bite has a been shorter every morning and today we found we were dragging small rainbows around undetected.  It could be what accounted for the slower action this morning.  Once the morning bite is over, you might as well pack it in or just enjoy the scenery because it shuts down hard.  With a bigger moon now and super flat water conditions, I suppose it makes sense that we're seeing a slow down in the bites we are seeing, but I'm certain its temporary.  We are chasing bigger fish though and they do seem to get lockjaw once in a while.  A little weather might help and I'm sure some rain water flowing in to Shasta would help as well.  Lets hope we get some soon!  Tight lines!
