Last week we were catching big healthy browns on Shasta Lake headed up the arms to spawn.  Today we caught several browns again, but all we managed to the net were "run backs" that had already spawned.  Hunting big browns is always a challenge, but we are managing to get some nice fish on just about every trip.  I think the big push of spawners up the McCloud Arm came a bit earlier than I had hoped, but fishing is still good and should imporove as the spawners complete their mission and head back to the lake to start feeding again!
