Today I fished the Sacramento River and for the first time in a long while for me, there was a very good bite at first light.  Our first drift produced a few good fish and as the drifts continued, we saw a great grade of steelhead trout come to life.  It was a big fish day with very few small fish caught.  We drifted Dick Nite spoons pretty much all day, but did get a few bites on some small egg clusters.  Overall I'd say today was an exceptional day with almost all of our fish being trophy class fish for most.
