Salmon fishing on the upper Klamath River has been off the chart. My clients over the last two days have hooked up 69 Salmon and landed 39. That is almost a 60% land ratio, which is not bad any time, and even better for first timers. Today, the weather was far from what we have been enjoying lately, Mother Nature let us have it with plenty of gusty winds. Those of you who have rowed a boat especially a drift boat know how fun a drift boat is in the wind, but that didn't stop the Salmon from taking our bait. Once again back trolling roe on a Luhr Jensen jet diver has been the hot ticket. We are seeing tons of small mini adult bucks right now in the 20 to 30 inch class with a few nice hens mixed in. The meat quality right now is outstanding on most of these fish right now which is a big plus.
