Its all about the garden hackle. Today was the best day of the week on Klamath river. My friend Guy Ives and I caught and released 16 Steelhead/Trout using a variety of methods. The biggest Steely of the day was the first one, a nice fat 4 pound wild buck that took the hotshot worm combo. The last fish of the day, (a nice 2 plus pound wild Steely) I caught on a small nymph fished under an indicator (fly bober). In between, the garden hackle was the king, taking another 3 pounder and many 1/2 pounder plus Steelhead/Trout. Earlier in the week, I took my friends Jen and Matt and they landed some nice steelhead up to 4 pounds.  Fly fishing and back trolling the hotshot worm combo was ticket on Tuesday. The weather has been cold in the morning and sunny during the day perfect for fishing!!
