Although, the weather has been poor (wind, rain, clouds and snow) the Winter Steelhead and Trout fishing on the Klamath  River remains good. I fished the with friends (Guy and Barry) and clients (John Girarde and his Dad Jon) last weekend (Friday & Sunday) and we landed 6 nice adult Steelhead (3 to 5 pounds) and at least 50 Trout (10 to 16 inches). Those are good numbers for two days of fishing. What made the fishing even better was that hardly anyone was out fishing the river. We saw three other boats on the water, over the course of the two days. Plugs and bait worked the best; Crawdad plugs, Hotshots, Worms and Roe all produced fish. The Crawdad plug landed 5 of the 6 Adult Steelhead, with Steelhead roe taking the other.

***My holiday special for Steelhead fishing on the Klamath River will end on December 31--$250 for two person.
