Lake Siskiyou Fish Report for 10-8-2006

by Scott Caldwell

Lake Siskiyou is red hot. On Saturday, my clients landed 41 trout in just under 4 hours of fishing. Wayne, Uncle Wai, and the boys hit the lake about 7:30 in the morning. The mornings are getting down right cold, we are starting to get frost on the windows. The trout dont seem to care at all, we trolled various Sep's dodgers with worm trailers and caught fish all morning. The Trout are all over the lake but you need to go slow or you won't get bit. Special thanks to Guy Ives (Sis-Q-Guide service 530-598-2928) for helping me with the trip, you were great help!!!

On Friday, Wayne and Uncle Wai fished the Klamath River for Salmon. Poor Uncle had to reel in every fish we hooked. The bite was slow but we hooked up 8 fish landing 6. Not bad fishing for a full moon weekend.

Today, I fished two brothers (Clayton 15, and BobbyJoe 22) who were part of a big family outing on the river. The boys hooked up on 8 Salmon landing 3 of them. The same group will be back at it tomorrow. FISH ON!!
