Dad and Son and Brother day on McCloud Reservoir, just another gorgeous fall fish catching day.

Fall has definitely begun at McCloud Reservoir. Surface water temperatures are now at an even 50 degrees and air temperatures never rose above 75 degrees. Fall in Northern California is one of my favorite times , beautiful scenery every direction you look and all day trout action that cannot be beat.

Slow trolling (1.3mph) gold dodgers with chartreuse hoochie spinners dipped in Pro-Cure shrimp krill oil from the surface to 30 feet was the hot set up. A morning and into the early afternoon it was one bite after another. These hard fighting McCloud Trout are blast as well as fantastic eating.

Finish out 2020 with a relaxing day on the lake or river. I have available dates in November and December for fishing on the Klamath, Lake Siskiyou, McCloud Reservoir or Shasta Lake.  Brown and Rainbow Trout or Steelhead are the target fish.
