Are we catching salmon?  Yes!  Is the fishing great?  Not yet!  When will it get good?  Well, that depends, but typically by the last week of August through mid October.  That being said, we have already had some really good days, but the early season brings daily peaks and valleys.  Until the Sacramento River system fills with migrating salmon, We'll have an off day here and there.  Its just what the early season brings.  The trade off is big, bright King salmon for the dinner table, bbq, or smoker.  Our Captains are working hard to get our clients on the best possible fishing, even if that means traveling a bit more each day. Our books are filled until October so I'll be concentrating on providing reports that will keep our clients updated on the salmon fishing conditions and to help others see what our guides are doing on the water every day.  Thank you for your continued support and for following us on NorCal Fish Reports.

Here are a few pics from todays salmon fishing on the Sacramento River!
