After 3 days off the water at Shasta Lake we're back at it again.  Today we had return clients who fished for rainbow trout on their last trip so we decided to target Shasta Lake Kings.  It has been the case of late, that when we drop lines down, we start getting bites right away.  Its an early morning bite so you have to go hard when you get started.  Todays bite was exceptional and we had 10 keeper Kings in the ice box just before 9:00 am.  We missed some good bites as well or we would have been done even earlier.  I haven't seen the King fishing this good in many years so we're super excited to be able to get our clients on some great days of fishing for a species other than trout.  Brad's Kokanee Cut plugs stuffed with Pautzke anchovy Fire Gel is a hard combination to beat and its all I needed for quick limits today.  We could have run 6 rods today, but 4 was more than enough to get the job done.  Things are starting to heat up again on Shasta Lake so stay tuned for more fishing reports this week!  Thank you!
