The last couple days have continued to reinforce the fact it has been a fantastic fall on the Klamath River, awesome action, beautiful bending rods and wonderful  weather.

From September to November the Klamath river has been fishing fantastic. Despite a Salmon run that was less than expected we had great fishing. Day in and day out, whether fishing for Salmon, Steelhead or Trout or a combination of all the river has produced consistent catching fun. Watching the hillsides turn from Summer to Fall under mostly blue Sky and mild afternoon temperatures has been the best I can remember.

Those of you that know me I wear shorts and T-shirt as long as I can but the weather has been so good it has made the peeling off cool morning layers easy.

I have had my clients mostly fly fishing for the Steelhead but I have also mixed in side casting and back trolling plugs from time to time as well. The results have been well nothing short of one of the best season so far. We have caught fish in the 8 pound class and many others from a true 1/2 pound on up to 8 and ranging in length from 6 inches to 28 inches.

This all make the up coming Winter Steelhead season all that more exciting. I am hoping to finally land another beast like my Dads 2012 32 inch Hog. You just never know but it would be cool. Records are made to be broken.

Give me a call 530 905 0758 and let's try an break some records or at least have fun trying.
