Today we had three boats on the Sac working three seperate groups of clients.  The morning plug bite was pretty weak, but the egg bite in the afternoon was pretty darn good.  We hooked a lot of salmon, but experienced a lot of lost fish.  Tight drags and lots of pressure on the fish to keep them out of the Barge Hole is a necessary evil for the guys dragging bait.  It was still a lot of fun and the clients had a good time fighting fish.  Most of the salmon are pretty dark now so losing fish isn't a real big deal now anyway.  I keep hearing about salmon being stacked further down river, but they have yet to show up in the numbers we had been expecting.  It makes sense, the water is way cooler than normal down river this year.  Either way, the fishing will be good through the end of the month I'm sure.
