Its a timeless tradition for many fathers to spend their day of recognition fishing with their family, and this year, was once again, no exception for me as well.  Its a special time for me ,and as I get older, it becomes a bit more special every year.  We spent Fathers Day this year on Shasta Lake.  My wife, her father, and my daughter Gracie enjoyed a short but wonderful day of trout fishing which ended with a boat bbq along a shaded shoreline section of the lake.  A late start and a late bite only produced a half dozen bites, but watching my daughter catch a few trout made my day an awesome one for sure.  Time on the water with family, is in itself, more than enough for me, but catching a few fish just added to the experience of the day.  That being said, Jeff Goodwin Guide Service would like to wish all the dads out there a Happy Fathers Day and sincerely hope each and everyone of you reading this post had an amazing day today as well.  - Captain Jeff Goodwin
