Wow! It really felt like spring today on Shasta Lake. The trout bite was a little off, but we still managed to catch a few nice browns. No rainbows, which surprised me, but it was a great day with a boat full of great people!  Biggest brown came on a Bay Rat long shallow trolled in open water at about 20' down off the downrigger.  Lake is still a bit stained, but that will halp warm things up a bit in the weeks ahead.  Things are looking pretty good for the trout fishing on Shasta Lake in the weeks to come!  I have some available dates in April, but I don't expect they will stay available much longer
