We fished in the wind with lots of boats yesterday and although the conditions were rather annoying, the company was great and the fishing was as good as it has been for most of the season.  Last weeks rains pulled a lot of salmon up into Battle Creek which hurt catchable numbers, but there are still some stragglers down river making their way up to the Barge Hole.  The fishing down river seems to have slowed significantly so its going to be a Barge Hole show until the late fall salmon begin to arrive next month.  I am booked through the rest of my river salmon season, but I have some excellent guides running salmon trips for me through December 15th.  I'll be running trips on Shasta Lake for big browns and rainbows through the new year and into late summer when river salmon fires up again!  Its gong to be anoter great year so give us a call and get those late fall salmon and trophy trout trips booked today!

Jeff Goodwin is a full time Northern California fishing guide.  He guides year round for salmon, trout, steelhead, Kokanee, and bass on Northern California rivers and lakes. He fishes many bodies of water in the Redding area, but also guides the Sacramento River and Feather River during certain times of the year. Jeff can also be found on the California coast chasing ocean fresh King salmon and steelhead each year.
