Today Mark Simons and I fished Shasta Lake with one objective in mind, to find and catch a big German brown.  Well it took all of 10 minutes to find Marks personal best brown which scaled out at 10.5 lbs.  It was a great fish and after a few quick pics Mark released the big buck back into the lake.  It was a short day on the water and after two more hooked fish we called it a day.  Afterall, how many 10+ lb browns can you expect to hook in one day!  The lake is in great shape and we've seen a bit of a rise in the level, but temps are still at 50 deg's.  Marks brown was caught on a #3 Optimizer spoon off a downrigger set down at 15 ft and trolled at 3.8 mph.
