Steelhead Slabs on the Klamath River
by Mario Gomez
Today was one of those days that you dream about when it comes to steelhead fishing. Tom and Don, father and son fished with pro guide Mario Gomez of Ironhead Guide Service and all they could say was bobber down, AKA fish on. The recent rain got the fish moving around and actively feeding so it was a pretty good bite today. Mario spent the day fly fishing and the fish were hanging out in the rocks, riffles, foam lines , and tailouts. The river is expected to rise this week and after the mend it should be game on.
Come fish with the only born and raised middle klamath river fishing guide and you will not be disappointed. Stop procrastinating and book you steelhead adventure now. I am starting to book my winter steelhead dates so if you want to secure a trip you probably should act fast.
