Today we fished Whiskeytown Lake Kokanee salmon and found the bite to be a bit on the slow side.  We managed to get limits, but it took longer than I am accostomed to for this time of the year.  The Kokanee are definitley staging up in the Whiskey Creek arm and are biting in the 50-55' foot range.  Orange flies with a spinner blade trailing behind a Wonder Bread Dick Nite Dodger caught a majority of our fish today.  We did pull some Kokanee down in the cold water curtain area, but overall the bite down there has really slowed down.
