Whiskeytown Lake Kokanee on the move!

I fished Whiskeytown Lake today for Kokanee salmon with a great family of four and we filled the Yeti, yet again. We found Kokanee at every depth we fished, but can say our best bite came from 60'-65' feet down. We showed them the tackle box as usual (lots of baits) and hooked 25 kokanee with 17 of them thrashing into the net. The Kokanee are starting to show their pre spawn appearance and a lot of them are already staging in the creek arms of the lake.  Some of the previously top producing areas of the lake are now slowing down as the adult Kokanee salmon are on the move...
