Labor Day weekend provided a couple of excellent fishing trips. On Sunday, the Bob and Tom encore performance turned out to be outstanding Trout show. The guys boated 50 Rainbow Trout while trolling Seps dodgers with worm spinner trailers coated in ProCure shrimp/krill oil. The bite was hot in the morning landing 24 Trout in just 3 hours of fishing. The bite slowed a bit after that as we landed 26 more fish in 4 hours. The Trout size was good as most of the fish were in the 1 to 2 pound class. On Monday, Conner, Dad and I hit the upper Klamath River late in the afternoon to see what was going on, and within 30 seconds of Dad putting his hotshot worm combo out he had a nice Steelhead on. After a short battle, Dad landed a fat 3 plus pound Wild Steelhead. After that we landed a bunch of smaller 1/2 pound plus Trout in 2 hours of fishing. Salmon will start showing up any day now but in the mean time there are plenty of hungry Steely/Trout out there.
