Friday my clients and I floated the upper Klamath River below Irongate Reservoir in the afternoon and found the Steely/Trout bite to be very good. Despite wet rainy conditions the guys hooked up many times, on the hotshot worm combo and a double fly combo under an indicator. Most of the Steely/Trout were in the 12 to 16 inch range, we did land one Steelhead that was 20 inches and 3 pounds. The best fish of the day was a fat Steely in the 4 to 5 pound class that took a nymph while drifting fishing, unfortunately when he jumped he spit the fly, but better to hook a nice Steely than not too.
