This past Wednesday my good friend Guy Ives and I fished Lake Siskiyou and found the Trout bite to be very good. We caught and released 18 Trout, 16 were nice healthy Rainbows, the other two were German Browns. Most of the Trout were caught while trolling (very slow 1mph) a Seps Dodger (silver) and a worm. The other Trout (including the Browns) were caught while trolling a K-7 kwikfish on the downrigger at 15 to 20 feet. We have been using Pautzke krill paste on our dodgers and lures, this stuff works great. My last two trips to the Lake have produced over 30 trout and at least another 20 hookups. There are some trophy's on the feed, we lost a nice 5-pound German Brown, last Sunday, as we were about to net him. Unfortunately, it became another story about the one that got away.
