No better way to kick off the new year than by fishing. Guy and I fished the Klamath River (Hatchery to The Klamathon bridge) today and had a good day. We landed three nice adults to 5 pounds and caught a dozen trout. Crawdad plugs and bouncing bait (worm and corky) caught all our fish. The river was a bit murky but the flow was good (just over 1300cfs). The temperature started out around 30 and maybe hit 40 when the sun came out from the cloud cover. There were a couple of other boats out but not many people are out fishing. Steelhead fishing should remain steady as long as the weather continues to be consistant.
